A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to information a commissioners court may consider when |
|
|
approving a county budget. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 111.065, Local Government Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 111.065. INFORMATION FURNISHED BY OFFICERS. (a) In |
|
|
preparing or monitoring the budget, the budget officer may require |
|
|
the county auditor or any other district, county, or precinct |
|
|
officer of the county to provide any information necessary for the |
|
|
budget officer to properly prepare or monitor the budget. |
|
|
(b) The commissioners court may require the county auditor |
|
|
or any other district, county, or precinct officer of the county to |
|
|
provide any information the commissioners court considers |
|
|
necessary to provide the commissioners court with complete |
|
|
information regarding the budget. |
|
|
(c) The commissioners court may consider other funds |
|
|
controlled by county officers when approving the budget. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
