A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|

|
relating to developing a list of preferred vendors that provide |
|
|
support to open-enrollment charter schools in using the Public |
|
|
Education Information Management System. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 42.006, Education Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: |
|
|
(f) The commissioner shall develop a list of preferred |
|
|
vendors that provide support to open-enrollment charter schools in |
|
|
using the Public Education Information Management System. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
