A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to public notice of procedures for submitting complaints |
|
|
about motor vehicle dealers. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2301.201, Occupations Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (a-1) and amending Subsection (b) to read as |
|
|
follows: |
|
|
(a-1) The department shall make the information in |
|
|
Subsection (a) available in a manner to enable the information to be |
|
|
posted in a public area of each: |
|
|
(1) department office; |
|
|
(2) county tax assessor-collector's office; |
|
|
(3) county attorney's office; and |
|
|
(4) city attorney's office. |
|
|
(b) The department [board] shall make the information |
|
|
available to the public and appropriate state agencies in any other |
|
|
manner the department considers appropriate. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
