A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to providing for legislative information on the Internet |
|
|
in Spanish. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

|
SECTION 1. Section 323.0145(b), Government Code, is amended |
|
|
to read as follows: |
|
|
(b) The council[, to the extent it considers it to be
|
|
|
feasible and appropriate,] may make legislative information |
|
|
available to the public through the Internet to the extent the |
|
|
council considers it feasible and appropriate. The council shall |
|
|
make legislative information made available under this subsection |
|
|
available in English and Spanish. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2012. |
