A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to ex parte court hearings that affect the right of a |
|
|
person to possession of or access to a child. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 105, Family Code, is amended by adding |
|
|
Section 105.011 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 105.011. RECORD OF CERTAIN EX PARTE HEARINGS REQUIRED. |
|
|
A record must be made of any ex parte hearing, including an initial |
|
|
hearing under Section 262.106, held by a court regarding an issue |
|
|
that could affect the right of a person to possession of or access |
|
|
to a child. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
