A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to automobile insurance coverage provided through the |
|
|
Texas Automobile Insurance Plan Association. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 2151, Insurance Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 2151.155 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 2151.155. MANDATORY OFFER OF COVERAGE PROHIBITED. The |
|
|
plan of operation may accept an authorized insurer's offer to write |
|
|
coverage that is currently provided by the insurer under an |
|
|
assignment made under this chapter. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
