AN ACT
relating to the emergency medical services that give rise to an |
emergency medical services lien. |
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
SECTION 1. Section 55.002(c), Property Code, is amended to |

(c) An emergency medical services provider has a lien on a |
cause of action or claim of an individual who receives emergency |
medical services [in a county with a population of 575,000 or less] |

effective date of this Act are governed by the law in effect |
immediately before the effective date of this Act, and that law is |
continued in effect for that purpose. |
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
