A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to information used by the Electric Reliability Council of |
|
|
Texas to settle or resettle a market participant's load or certain |
|
|
trade days. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 39.151, Utilities Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (n) to read as follows: |
|
|
(n) To settle or resettle a market participant's load or a |
|
|
market participant's trade day in which digital or real time meters |
|
|
are not used or not otherwise in service, an independent |
|
|
organization certified by the commission under this section shall |
|
|
use any information available to the organization, including |
|
|
information from a TDU meter or other meter, electric service |
|
|
identifier or other identifier information, and premise or circuit |
|
|
information. |
|
|
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only |
|
|
to the settlement or resettlement of a market participant's load or |
|
|
trade day that occurs on or after January 1, 2011. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
