A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the Texas Back to Work initiative. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Chapter 481, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding a new subsection (e-2) to Section 481.078: |
|
|
Notwithstanding subsection (e) or (e-1), the Governor shall, |
|
|
upon an appropriation from the Legislature, transfer money from the |
|
|
fund to the Texas Back To Work initiative as administered by the |
|
|
Texas Workforce Commission and as created in Rider 31(c), Article |
|
|
VII, General Appropriations Act, 81st Texas Legislature, Regular |
|
|
Session (2009) for public-private partnerships with employers to |
|
|
move Texans off of public benefits and into the workforce. |
