A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the administrative fee charged by the Department of |
|
|
Information Resources to other entities for the purchase of certain |
|
|
commodity items. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2157.068(d), Government Code, is amended |
|
|
to read as follows: |
|
|
(d) The department shall [may] charge an [a reasonable] |
|
|
administrative fee to a state agency, political subdivision of this |
|
|
state, or governmental entity of another state that purchases |
|
|
commodity items through the department in an amount equal to two |
|
|
percent of the price of the commodity items purchased [that is
|
|
|
sufficient to recover costs associated with the administration of
|
|
|
this section]. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
