A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the designation of the Mid Valley Airport as the |
|
|
disaster relief headquarters for the Rio Grande Valley. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter H, Chapter 418, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 418.192 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 418.192. DISASTER RELIEF HEADQUARTERS FOR RIO GRANDE |
|
|
VALLEY. The governor shall designate the Mid Valley Airport as the |
|
|
state headquarters for providing disaster relief in the Rio Grande |
|
|
Valley following the governor's declaration of a state of disaster |
|
|
in an area within the Rio Grande Valley. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
