A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the franchise tax, franchise tax rates and computation; |
|
|
alternative revenue sources and spending priorities for this state; |
|
|
certain taxes affecting businesses; making an appropriation; |
|
|
providing penalties. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. The administration of the franchise tax and |
|
|
other state taxes including all aspects of taxation shall be |
|
|
efficient, equitable, and provide sufficient revenue to fund the |
|
|
priorities of state government. |
