HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Killeen are visiting the State |
|
Capitol on April 13, 2011, to gain further insight into the workings |
|
of state government; and |
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1986 by the Greater Killeen Chamber |
|
of Commerce, this exceptional program provides opportunities for |
|
Killeen residents to increase their knowledge of vital public |
|
issues and to meet with the legislators and local officials who are |
|
making decisions that affect this state; and |
|
WHEREAS, Sessions throughout the yearlong program are |
|
designed to acquaint participants with local issues and to |
|
encourage them to become effective contributors to the growth and |
|
direction of their communities; and |
|
WHEREAS, Endeavoring to foster a more informed and involved |
|
citizenry and to develop new leaders in Killeen, the program is |
|
helping to build a brighter and more promising future for the Lone |
|
Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the 82nd Legislature of the State of Texas |
|
hereby recognize April 13, 2011, as Leadership Killeen Day at the |
|
State Capitol and extend to the members of the program sincere best |
|
wishes for continued success with their important work; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Leadership Killeen as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives and Senate. |
