R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Sherman and Elaine Wright of Midland |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 24, 2010; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Wright were united in matrimony at |
|
|
Fundamental Baptist Church in Sweetwater in 1960; through the |
|
|
years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made |
|
|
even richer with the addition of their children, David Wright and |
|
|
Ricky Wright and his wife, Beverly; they have been further blessed |
|
|
with six grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Residents of Midland for 35 years, Mr. Wright worked |
|
|
for Lucent Technology, formerly Western Electric, and retired in |
|
|
2001 and Mrs. Wright is a homemaker; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Sherman and Elaine Wright on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Wright as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
