R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five |
|
|
decades, George and Frances Ratliff of Midland celebrated their |
|
|
50th wedding anniversary on December 24, 2010; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Ratliff exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
on that special day in 1960, and over the course of their marriage, |
|
|
they have found in each other a devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Ratliffs count among their blessings a fine |
|
|
family that includes their children, George D. Ratliff, Jacqueline |
|
|
Shelby, Victor Ratliff, Donna Berry and her husband, Darius, and |
|
|
Courtney Ratliff, as well as eight grandchildren and six |
|
|
great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure sharing the many |
|
|
special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, George and |
|
|
Frances Ratliff can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and |
|
|
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that |
|
|
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate George and Frances Ratliff on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ratliff as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
