R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, January 6, 2011, marked the 40th wedding anniversary
  of Larry and Linda Harper of Commerce, providing a fitting
  opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together as
  husband and wife; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Harper were joined in matrimony in
  1971; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured
  family that includes two children, Leslie Harper and Lauren Taylor,
  as well as four grandchildren, Trinity McMannis and Harper, Cort,
  and Charlee Taylor; and
         WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Harper is
  a retired Dallas police officer, and Mrs. Harper is retired from 30
  years of teaching at John Q. Adams Elementary School in Dallas; and
         WHEREAS, The 40 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Harper
  have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and
  commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who
  know them; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Larry and Linda Harper on their
  40th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Harper as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
