R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, January 6, 2011, marked the 40th wedding anniversary |
|
of Larry and Linda Harper of Commerce, providing a fitting |
|
opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together as |
|
husband and wife; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Harper were joined in matrimony in |
|
1971; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured |
|
family that includes two children, Leslie Harper and Lauren Taylor, |
|
as well as four grandchildren, Trinity McMannis and Harper, Cort, |
|
and Charlee Taylor; and |
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Harper is |
|
a retired Dallas police officer, and Mrs. Harper is retired from 30 |
|
years of teaching at John Q. Adams Elementary School in Dallas; and |
|
WHEREAS, The 40 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Harper |
|
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Larry and Linda Harper on their |
|
40th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Harper as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
