R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Round Rock are visiting the |
|
State Capitol on February 16, 2011, to gain further insight into the |
|
workings of state government; and |
|
WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce, |
|
Leadership Round Rock was established to develop new civic, |
|
business, and community leaders; and |
|
WHEREAS, The city of Round Rock has been recognized as one of |
|
the safest and best places to live and work in the country, and, |
|
thanks in part to the efforts of the local chamber of commerce, the |
|
area has seen substantial growth in business opportunities; and |
|
WHEREAS, Leadership Round Rock helps to educate participants |
|
about different levels of government and how they each affect |
|
economic development; participants come from a wide variety of |
|
backgrounds, but all share an interest in learning more about their |
|
elected officials and how to improve their community; and |
|
WHEREAS, Endeavoring to build a more informed and involved |
|
citizenry, Leadership Round Rock is helping to build a brighter and |
|
more promising future for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the 2011 Class of Leadership |
|
Round Rock and extend to its members sincere best wishes for an |
|
informative and enjoyable visit to the State Capitol; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
