R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Roy and Iris Kneese of Belton celebrated their 60th
  wedding anniversary on January 14, 2011, and they may indeed
  reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
  and
         WHEREAS, Roy Kneese and the former Iris Martin exchanged the
  vows of matrimony in Colorado City on January 14, 1951, and over the
  course of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving
  life partner; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Kneese retired as a sergeant first class from
  the United States Army after serving for 21 years, and he then spent
  26 years as the chief of police of Belton; Mrs. Kneese retired after
  20 years with the Veterans Administration Hospital; and
         WHEREAS, The Kneeses count among their blessings a fine
  family that includes their children, Roy Kneese, Jr., and his wife,
  Theresa, Gerry Pustka and her husband, David, James Kneese and his
  wife, Martha, and Danny Kneese and his wife, Tracy, along with 11
  grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, For six decades, Roy and Iris Kneese have brought to
  their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a
  pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Roy and Iris Kneese on their 60th
  wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Kneese as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
