R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
by a great and enduring love, Fred and Mary Jane Parrow of Spring |
|
are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on February 4, 2011; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Parrow first met while attending State |
|
University of New York at Oswego; they were married at Holy Family |
|
Roman Catholic Church in Auburn and moved to Seattle, Washington, |
|
before moving to Texas and settling in the town of Spring; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Parrow taught elementary school until the birth |
|
of her first child, when she dedicated herself full-time to her |
|
family and home, while Mr. Parrow was a valued employee of Shell Oil |
|
Company for nearly 36 years until his retirement in 1996; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. and Mrs. Parrow have nurtured |
|
a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer as their family |
|
has grown to include their children, Fred and his wife, Robin, Julie |
|
and her husband, Tom Graf, and Tom and his wife, Carrie, as well as |
|
six grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Jolie, Logan, Abby, and Jackson; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
in their faith and in their commitment to one another, and the |
|
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Fred and Mary Jane Parrow on the |
|
occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
|
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Parrow as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
