R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, Fred and Mary Jane Parrow of Spring
  are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on February 4, 2011;
  and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Parrow first met while attending State
  University of New York at Oswego; they were married at Holy Family
  Roman Catholic Church in Auburn and moved to Seattle, Washington,
  before moving to Texas and settling in the town of Spring; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Parrow taught elementary school until the birth
  of her first child, when she dedicated herself full-time to her
  family and home, while Mr. Parrow was a valued employee of Shell Oil
  Company for nearly 36 years until his retirement in 1996; and
         WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. and Mrs. Parrow have nurtured
  a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer as their family
  has grown to include their children, Fred and his wife, Robin, Julie
  and her husband, Tom Graf, and Tom and his wife, Carrie, as well as
  six grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Jolie, Logan, Abby, and Jackson;
  and
         WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
  half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
  in their faith and in their commitment to one another, and the
  strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges
  and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Fred and Mary Jane Parrow on the
  occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them
  sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Parrow as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
