R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The untimely passing of Dr. Dana Bryant Donatto of
  Playa del Rey, California, on August 3, 2010, at the age of 53,
  brought deep sorrow to her loved ones; and
         WHEREAS, A San Antonio native, the former Dana Bryant was
  born to Gloria Bryant and Dr. Frank Bryant on March 5, 1957; she
  graduated from Holmes High School and went on to earn her bachelor's
  degree from Rice University and her medical degree from The
  University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston; "Dr. Dana" began
  her 20-year career in medicine with her father's practice on the
  east side of San Antonio, and she later joined the staff at Wilford
  Hall Medical Center; after moving to California, she treated
  patients in the state's penal system as a contract physician and
  worked briefly for a plasma center; and
         WHEREAS, This dynamic professional loved to travel, and she
  shared a passion for sailing with her husband, Phillip Donatto,
  whom she met on a trip to Tahiti; devoted to her family, Dr. Donatto
  encouraged her four younger sisters to excel, and she adored her
  nieces and nephews, to whom she was a favorite aunt; she was a woman
  of great compassion and gave generously to those in need; and
         WHEREAS, Dana Donatto lived a caring and purposeful life, and
  she will forever hold a treasured place in the hearts of those she
  left behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Dr. Dana Bryant
  Donatto and extend sincere condolences to the members of her
  family: to her husband, Phillip Donatto; to her mother, Gloria
  Bryant; to her sisters, Janice Murphy and her husband, Dr. Vincent
  Murphy, Toni Pyjar and her husband, John Pyjar, Robyn Deshotel and
  her husband, Raphael Deshotel, Jr., and Kellie Fowler and her
  husband, Dr. John Fowler; to her nieces and nephews, Victoria and
  Juliette Murphy, Lauren and Jacob Pyjar, Raphael Deshotel III, and
  Alexsis, Harrison, Rowen, Bridgette, Frank, and John Fowler; and to
  her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dr. Dana
  Donatto.
