R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
  mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Melven and JoAn
  Lobstein of Sparenburg celebrated this joyous milestone in their
  marriage on January 15, 2011; and
         WHEREAS, Melven Lobstein and the former JoAn McCrary were
  joined in matrimony in 1961 at a ceremony at the First Baptist
  Church in O'Donnell; through the years, they have been blessed with
  a treasured family that includes two daughters and their husbands,
  Londa and Blair Tharp and Lori and Kevin Bagwell, as well as four
  grandchildren, Haden and Kinsey Tharp and Jarrett and Jason
  Bagwell; and
         WHEREAS, The Lobsteins lived in the Five Mile Community,
  where Mr. Lobstein grew up, until moving to Sparenburg in 1967 and
  they retired from farming in 2007; Mrs. Lobstein is a Cleburne
  native who lived in Texas and New Mexico in her youth; the couple
  are congregants of the River of Life Fellowship and delight in
  keeping up with their grandchildren's activities; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Lobstein have enjoyed five decades of
  abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an
  exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
  commitment; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Melven and JoAn Lobstein on their
  golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
  for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Lobstein as an expression of high regard
  by the Texas House of Representatives.
