R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce |
|
|
are visiting the State Capitol on February 8, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Formerly the Humble Area Chamber of Commerce, this |
|
|
notable organization works to promote the growth and advancement of |
|
|
the cities of Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita, and Spring; the group |
|
|
has nearly 1,300 members, primarily representing small businesses; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce has been |
|
|
ably led by past president Mike Byers and current president Charles |
|
|
Dromgoole, whose efforts have helped attract and keep businesses in |
|
|
the community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The direction and planning provided by the Lake |
|
|
Houston Area Chamber of Commerce contribute immeasurably to the |
|
|
economic growth of the region, and this special day provides a |
|
|
fitting opportunity to recognize the achievements of the |
|
|
outstanding civic leaders who participate in chamber activities; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby welcome the Lake Houston Area Chamber of |
|
|
Commerce to the State Capitol and commend all those associated with |
|
|
the group for their dedicated service; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the chamber as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
