R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned four |
|
|
decades, John and Charlotte Turner celebrated their 40th wedding |
|
|
anniversary on December 24, 2010; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, John Turner and the former Charlotte Walker |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony in Yantis on that memorable day in |
|
|
1970, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each |
|
|
other a devoted life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family |
|
|
that includes two children, Pamela Gassett and John W. Turner, as |
|
|
well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, with whom |
|
|
they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past four decades, Mr. and |
|
|
Mrs. Turner can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know |
|
|
that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many |
|
|
more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate John and Charlotte Turner on their |
|
|
40th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Turner as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
