R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Robby Burdge was named the 2010 Citizen of the Year
  by the Victoria Chamber of Commerce; and
         WHEREAS, The owner, CEO, and president of klean corp
  international, Mr. Burdge has given generously of his time and
  expertise to improve the quality of life in Victoria; in addition to
  his work as chair of the board and strategic planning at St. Joseph
  High School, he has also shared his time with the school's
  advancement and financial committees; currently, he serves on the
  boards of the Port of Victoria, Perpetual Help Home, Victoria Main
  Street Program, and Victoria College; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply committed to the community, Mr. Burdge has
  further given back through his leadership with the local United
  Way, YMCA, Habitat for Humanity, and Boys & Girls Club, as well as
  through his support of more than 200 charitable groups; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Burdge's exceptional efforts in behalf of his
  fellow residents have earned him a number of honors, including the
  title of Victoria 2007 Citizen of the Year from the Rotary Club and
  Victoria Chamber of Commerce 2003 Member of the Year; and
         WHEREAS, The vitality of Texas towns depends in large measure
  on the vision and dedication of their leaders, and through his many
  worthy endeavors, Robby Burdge has set an inspiring example of
  civic engagement for all who know him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Robby Burdge on his selection as
  2010 Citizen of the Year by the Victoria Chamber of Commerce and
  extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Burdge as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
