R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Garrett Matthew Betros of Boy Scouts of America |
|
|
Troop No. 752 in Cameron has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and |
|
|
this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
|
criteria, Mr. Betros earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |
|
|
successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his |
|
|
community, which involved leading a group of volunteers in painting |
|
|
the exterior of a bunkhouse at Morning Star Ranch, a nonprofit youth |
|
|
organization; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Glynda and Matthew Betros, this fine |
|
|
young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability |
|
|
throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration |
|
|
of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that |
|
|
scouting offers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, His dedication to excellence and his perseverance in |
|
|
the pursuit of his goals have proven Eagle Scout Betros worthy to |
|
|
stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride |
|
|
on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Garrett Matthew Betros on |
|
|
achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Eagle Scout Betros as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
