R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and |
|
meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends |
|
of John E. Meek of Arlington, who passed away on April 3, 2009, at |
|
the age of 58; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on October 1, 1950, in Oklahoma City, John Meek |
|
was the son of Jerome Ernest and Betty Jane Hullett Meek and the |
|
brother of three siblings, Sally, James, and Charles; and |
|
WHEREAS, He was a commercial property tax appraiser by |
|
profession and operated John Meek and Associates, a property tax |
|
consulting company; and |
|
WHEREAS, With his wife, Martha Sue, Mr. Meek shared a |
|
rewarding marriage and became the parent of two sons, Austin and |
|
Charles; and |
|
WHEREAS, John Meek lived a life of devotion to his family and |
|
his community, and his kind nature and laughter will forever be |
|
fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of John E. Meek and |
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, |
|
Martha Sue Meek; to his son, Austin Martin Meek; to his sister, |
|
Sally J. DelCastillo, and her husband, David; to his brother, James |
|
Meek, and his wife, Patricia; to his sister-in-law, Cathy Meek; to |
|
his aunt, Minnie Burns, and her husband, Joe; and to his other |
|
relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of John E. |
|
Meek. |
