H.R. No. 413

	R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Members of the Association of Texas Professional
	Educators are visiting the State Capitol on February 14, 2011; and
	WHEREAS, ATPE is owned and governed by a membership of more
	than 115,000 education professionals, making it the largest
	independent educators' association in the nation; and
	WHEREAS, Under the able guidance of more than 5,000
	volunteers who serve as state, regional, and local unit leaders,
	ATPE provides participants with information and resources that help
	them in the classroom and other areas of their professional lives;
	and
	WHEREAS, By coordinating efforts to address the serious
	issues that educators and children confront on a daily basis,
	members of ATPE have served as a unifying force in improving our
	schools, and their initiatives are making a positive difference in
	the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
	Legislature hereby recognize February 14, 2011, as Association of
	Texas Professional Educators Day at the State Capitol and extend to
	all those in attendance sincere best wishes for an enjoyable and
	productive visit to Austin; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
