R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Amegy Bank was named the 2010 Business of the Year at |
|
the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Gala on February 4, 2011; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Generously supporting a number of organizations and |
|
programs, Amegy Bank has made a positive difference in the Katy |
|
community; recently, the company sponsored a new scoreboard at |
|
Rhodes Stadium, which is used by all of the local school athletic |
|
departments, and on behalf of the Katy Rotary Club, Amegy collected |
|
toys for area children; and |
|
WHEREAS, Beneficiaries of the bank's philanthropy also |
|
include ARTreach and the Arc of Katy, Katy Foundation, area FFA, |
|
Katy Family YMCA, and National Multiple Sclerosis Society; |
|
employees share their time with area schools, teaching Junior |
|
Achievement and volunteering at the Promise to Read event, and the |
|
institution further serves the community through its participation |
|
in the annual Katy Rice Harvest Festival, for which it provides the |
|
financial headquarters and processing center; and |
|
WHEREAS, Amegy Bank has worked to bolster the local economy |
|
as a member of the Katy Business Association, Katy Area Economic |
|
Development Council, and Katy Area Chamber of Commerce; moreover, |
|
the company has partnered with the Katy Area EDC and the Katy Area |
|
Bank Alliance to expand opportunities to local businesses by |
|
offering assistance with financing; and |
|
WHEREAS, Through its many outreach efforts, Amegy Bank has |
|
secured its stature as a valued corporate citizen while earning |
|
widespread loyalty and admiration; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Amegy Bank on being named the 2010 |
|
Business of the Year by the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce and extend |
|
to its management and staff sincere best wishes for continued |
|
success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the bank as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
