R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
by a great and enduring love, Aaron and Melba Brannon of Sulphur |
|
Springs celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on January 11, |
|
2011; and |
|
WHEREAS, Aaron James Brannon and the former Melba Ford were |
|
united in matrimony in Garland in 1946; through the years, they have |
|
nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with |
|
the addition of 2 children, Charles Brannon and Mary Linda Hickson, |
|
5 grandchildren, Kathy Granger, Karin Holacka, Tonya Hickson, |
|
Brandi Vitale, and Rusty Brannon, and 15 great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Brannon worked in the |
|
field of air conditioning and refrigeration and taught at a trade |
|
school in Dallas; Mrs. Brannon has been a dedicated homemaker |
|
throughout their marriage; they are both faithful congregants of |
|
Lake Highlands Baptist Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Aaron and Melba Brannon on their |
|
65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Brannon as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
