H.R. No. 529
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, Aaron and Melba Brannon of Sulphur
  Springs celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on January 11,
  2011; and
         WHEREAS, Aaron James Brannon and the former Melba Ford were
  united in matrimony in Garland in 1946; through the years, they have
  nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with
  the addition of 2 children, Charles Brannon and Mary Linda Hickson,
  5 grandchildren, Kathy Granger, Karin Holacka, Tonya Hickson,
  Brandi Vitale, and Rusty Brannon, and 15 great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Brannon worked in the
  field of air conditioning and refrigeration and taught at a trade
  school in Dallas; Mrs. Brannon has been a dedicated homemaker
  throughout their marriage; they are both faithful congregants of
  Lake Highlands Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
  half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
  in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
  has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
  grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Aaron and Melba Brannon on their
  65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Brannon as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
