R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Fort Bend are visiting the
  State Capitol on February 22, 2011, to gain further insight into the
  workings of state government; and
         WHEREAS, The Leadership Fort Bend program was organized by
  the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce to encourage community
  stewardship and volunteerism; the program involves individuals
  from the areas of business, labor, religion, and government,
  including members from civic and nonprofit associations and
  minority groups, to represent a wide spectrum of the area's
  population; and
         WHEREAS, Beginning in September and ending in May, meetings
  feature training in communications and career management skills;
  facilitators emphasize the importance of teamwork and
  collaboration and focus on the opportunities and challenges facing
  the Fort Bend area; and
         WHEREAS, This year's forum is being conducted by Keri Curtis
  Schmidt, Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, as well as
  Leadership Fort Bend chair Christopher Breaux and vice chairs Ray
  Aguilar and Trey Reichert; and
         WHEREAS, Through its efforts to foster a more informed and
  engaged citizenry, Leadership Fort Bend is helping to build a
  bright and promising future for this fast-growing area of the Lone
  Star State; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize February 22, 2011, as Leadership Fort
  Bend Day at the State Capitol and extend to all those associated
  with the organization sincere best wishes for a meaningful and
  memorable visit to Austin; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Leadership Fort Bend as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
