R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Blake A. Vanier of Boy Scouts of America Troop No. |
|
|
752 in Cameron has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |
|
|
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
|
criteria, Mr. Vanier earned the requisite 21 merit badges, and for |
|
|
his Eagle Scout project, he constructed the "Grace Divide," a |
|
|
50-foot-long wall with three windows separating the gymnasium from |
|
|
the dining and classroom area at Grace Church of Cameron; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Melissa and Mark Boyer and Charles |
|
|
Vanier, this fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding |
|
|
leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the |
|
|
respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the |
|
|
highest rank that scouting offers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Vanier's dedication to excellence and |
|
|
his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |
|
|
to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |
|
|
pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Blake A. Vanier on achieving the |
|
|
rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Eagle Scout Vanier as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
