R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Dr. Audrey Jones of Alamo is serving as the
  Physician of the Day at the State Capitol on February 23, 2011, and
  she is to be commended for her participation in this time-honored
  tradition; and
         WHEREAS, Since 1971, this program has provided for a
  volunteer physician to be on call each day of a legislative session
  to offer medical assistance to legislators and support staff; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Jones is certified by the American Board of
  Family Practice and the American Board of Forensic Examiners; she
  earned her degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at
  the University of North Texas Health Science Center; and
         WHEREAS, Despite her demanding schedule, Dr. Jones has given
  back to her community by serving as president of the Boys and Girls
  Club of Alamo--San Juan, and she is a member of the board of
  trustees of the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Jones has built an admirable career by devoting
  herself to the health and well-being of others, and it is a pleasure
  to honor her and to gratefully welcome her to the State Capitol;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby recognize Dr. Audrey Jones for her contributions
  to the medical profession and commend her for her generous service
  to the Texas Legislature as Physician of the Day; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Dr. Jones as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
