R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ian Martinez-Negrete of Cub Scout Pack No. 701 in |
|
|
Carrollton is receiving the Arrow of Light Award on February 27, |
|
|
2011, and his accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A program of the Boy Scouts of America, the Cub Scout |
|
|
organization emphasizes character development, community service, |
|
|
physical fitness, religious faith, and patriotism; the Arrow of |
|
|
Light is the highest award in the Cub Scouts, presented to Webelos |
|
|
Scouts who have earned eight activity badges and have demonstrated |
|
|
a thorough knowledge of the requirements necessary to become a Boy |
|
|
Scout; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the criteria necessary for achieving |
|
|
the Arrow of Light Award, Mr. Martinez-Negrete has worked hard to |
|
|
reach his goal, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a job well |
|
|
done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ian Martinez-Negrete on receiving |
|
|
the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Martinez-Negrete as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
