R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Bob and Bernice Priddy of Troy |
|
|
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on February 3, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Bobby E. Priddy and the former Bernice Brown were |
|
|
united in matrimony in Lancaster in 1951; through the years, they |
|
|
have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer |
|
|
with the addition of two children, Bobby Priddy, Jr., and his wife, |
|
|
Judy, and Connie Priddy, as well as two grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Priddy both worked at the Western Auto |
|
|
Distribution Center in Temple until their retirement; since 1975, |
|
|
they have lived near Troy, where they are members of the First |
|
|
Baptist Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past six |
|
|
decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|
|
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has |
|
|
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |
|
|
and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Bob and Bernice Priddy on their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Priddy as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
