R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Seventh grade history students from Texas Middle |
|
School in Texarkana are visiting the State Capitol on March 4, 2011, |
|
to learn more about the government and history of the Lone Star |
|
State; and |
|
WHEREAS, With the 82nd Legislative Session well underway, the |
|
Capitol Complex is a source of great activity, offering visitors an |
|
excellent opportunity to see their state government in action |
|
firsthand; and |
|
WHEREAS, While in Austin, these notable Texans will tour the |
|
Capitol and increase their awareness of the fascinating history of |
|
this monument to freedom and democracy; they will also travel to San |
|
Antonio to celebrate the anniversary of the Battle of the Alamo; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Texas Capitol is an ideal setting for young and |
|
old alike to discover the rich heritage of the Lone Star State and |
|
to gain insight into the workings of our state legislature, and it |
|
is a pleasure to welcome members of the Texas Middle School |
|
community to Austin; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend the visiting seventh grade students from |
|
Texas Middle School on their interest in state government and |
|
extend to them sincere best wishes for an informative and memorable |
|
visit to the Capitol; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
