R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Merlin and Delores Schwenk of |
|
|
Georgetown celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on February |
|
|
18, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Schwenk were united in matrimony at |
|
|
Packer Memorial Church on the campus of Lehigh University in |
|
|
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 1956; through the years, they have |
|
|
nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with |
|
|
the addition of two sons; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past 55 |
|
|
years, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|
|
their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has |
|
|
enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |
|
|
and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Merlin and Delores Schwenk on their |
|
|
55th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Schwenk as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
