R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The City of Plano has greatly benefited from the |
|
|
dedicated leadership of deputy city manager LaShon D. Ross; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas A&M University--Texarkana, Ms. |
|
|
Ross earned her master's degree in counseling from Southern |
|
|
Methodist University; she began her notable career with the City of |
|
|
Texarkana, where she served as human resources director for more |
|
|
than a decade; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Ross joined the City of Plano in 2001, and after |
|
|
eight years of distinguished work as human resources director, she |
|
|
was promoted to assistant city manager; since July 2010, she has |
|
|
been deputy city manager for the Community Services Business |
|
|
Center, overseeing the library system, Parks and Recreation |
|
|
Department, Human Resources, and Office of Risk Management; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|
|
life for their fellow residents in innumerable ways, and the |
|
|
efforts of LaShon Ross are helping to make Plano an even better |
|
|
place to live; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor deputy city manager LaShon D. Ross for her |
|
|
service to the citizens of Plano and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success with her important efforts; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Ross as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
