R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Kids Who Care, a nonprofit international theater
  company, is performing at the State Capitol on March 16, 2011; and
         WHEREAS, Based in Fort Worth, this notable organization has
  been dedicated to changing the world one child at a time since its
  founding more than two decades ago; and
         WHEREAS, In 2010, the group was invited to perform at a
  Make-A-Wish Gala and the Kennedy Center, and its participants also
  shared their time to benefit the Tarrant Area Food Bank and the Boys
  and Girls Club; more than 41,000 people enjoyed its productions
  last year, including nearly 28,000 children; and
         WHEREAS, Kids Who Care is sponsored in part by a grant from
  the Texas Commission on the Arts; the group's latest offering,
  District XI: Believe in Me, is a musical that celebrates the
  profound impact that teachers and schools have on our children and
  reminds us that, together, we can build the education system our
  children need; and
         WHEREAS, By promoting an awareness of creative gifts and
  fostering an appreciation of the arts, Kids Who Care is enriching
  the communities it serves even as it opens up new vistas of
  possibility and opportunity for young Texans; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Kids Who Care and extend to all those
  associated with the group sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
