R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Bernice |
|
|
Brown of McGregor, who passed away on March 2, 2011, at the age of |
|
|
96; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mrs. Brown was born |
|
|
in Elkhart on June 12, 1914, to James and Olivia Gray; she shared |
|
|
many happy years of marriage with her husband, G. C. Brown, Sr., |
|
|
with whom she had three children, G. C., Wanda, and Belta; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through the years, Mrs. Brown was further blessed |
|
|
with 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and she enjoyed |
|
|
doting on them at every opportunity; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Bernice Brown lived a caring and purposeful life, |
|
|
and she will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who |
|
|
held her close to their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Bernice Brown and |
|
|
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
|
children, G. C. Brown, Jr., and his wife, Carolyn, Wanda Blanchette |
|
|
and her husband, Earl, and Belta Fowler and her husband, Raymond; to |
|
|
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to her other loved |
|
|
ones; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bernice |
|
|
Brown. |
