R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, March 2, 2011, marked the 60th wedding anniversary |
|
|
of Carrol and Blanch Ward of McGregor, providing a fitting |
|
|
opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together as |
|
|
husband and wife; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Carrol Ward and the former Blanch Hill were joined |
|
|
in matrimony in 1951; through the years, they have been blessed with |
|
|
a treasured family that includes two children and their spouses, |
|
|
Don and Billie Ward and Pamela and David DeBorde, as well as two |
|
|
grandsons, Joshua Ward and his wife, Maureen, and Brad DeBorde and |
|
|
his wife, Katie; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Ward is |
|
|
retired from TXU Energy and Mrs. Ward is retired from Smead |
|
|
Manufacturing; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 60 years of marriage that this devoted couple |
|
|
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Carrol and Blanch Ward on their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ward as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
