R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Sam and Emily Skrhak of McGregor |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Skrhak have nurtured a close and |
|
|
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the |
|
|
addition of four children, Emily Phillips and her husband, Mickey, |
|
|
Cynthia Luedeker and her husband, Lindsay, Kelvin Skrhak and his |
|
|
wife, Melissa, and Theresa Skrhak, as well as nine grandchildren; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Skrhak was employed by |
|
|
Rocketdyne for 15 years and went on to work for the Waco VA Medical |
|
|
Center for a quarter-century until his retirement in 2003; Mrs. |
|
|
Skrhak has been a dedicated homemaker throughout their marriage; |
|
|
residents of McGregor since 1964, the couple are valued members of |
|
|
St. Eugene Catholic Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
five decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Sam and Emily Skrhak on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Skrhak as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
