R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned a |
|
|
quarter-century, Steve and Karen Briggs of Robinson celebrated |
|
|
their 25th wedding anniversary on February 22, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Steve Briggs and the former Karen Bethke exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony at First Baptist Church in Waco on that |
|
|
special day in 1986; they count among their blessings a fine family |
|
|
that includes their two daughters, Mary Katelyn and Carroll Anne, |
|
|
with whom they share the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Briggs is |
|
|
employed by the Waco Independent School District as a communication |
|
|
engineer, and Mrs. Briggs teaches child development at McLennan |
|
|
Community College while continuing her education at Sam Houston |
|
|
State University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past 25 years, Steve and Karen |
|
|
Briggs can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know that |
|
|
the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many more |
|
|
joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Steve and Karen Briggs on their |
|
|
25th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Briggs as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
