R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Brian Wooten is being honored on March 23, 2011, for
  his positive involvement in the Men at Work initiative conducted by
  Star of Hope in Houston; and
         WHEREAS, Part of that organization's efforts to assist the
  city's homeless population, Men at Work is a two-part program that
  helps individuals to bring about meaningful change in their lives,
  to reenter the workforce, and to move toward independent living;
  and
         WHEREAS, Phase One of Men at Work takes place over a 90-day
  period in which participants complete course work and Bible study,
  attend counseling and support group sessions, and conduct a job
  search through the Looper Career Education and Development Center;
  Phase Two focuses on providing clients with guidance after they
  have begun their employment and includes interaction with a
  caseworker and additional meetings and study; and
         WHEREAS, The Men at Work commencement ceremony pays tribute
  to those who have successfully completed Phase One of the program,
  and Mr. Wooten is one such individual who may reflect with pride on
  the hard work and determination he has shown over the past three
  months in accomplishing that significant goal; and
         WHEREAS, By taking part in Men at Work, Brian Wooten is
  helping to build a brighter future for himself, and his
  achievements serve as an inspiring example of commitment and
  perseverance; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Brian Wooten on his achievements in
  the Men at Work program of Star of Hope and extend to him sincere
  best wishes for success in all of his future endeavors; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Wooten as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
