R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Quinton Smith is being honored on March 23, 2011, |
|
for his positive involvement in the Motivational Work initiative |
|
conducted by Star of Hope in Houston; and |
|
WHEREAS, Part of that organization's efforts to assist the |
|
city's homeless population, the Motivational Work program helps |
|
individuals to gain direction and a vital sense of accomplishment; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Over a 90-day period, participants help maintain the |
|
cleanliness and order of the Men's Development Center; in addition, |
|
they attend Bible study, work with the developmental skills |
|
coordinator, and receive guidance in finding employment; and |
|
WHEREAS, The Motivational Work commencement ceremony pays |
|
tribute to those who have successfully completed the program, and |
|
Mr. Smith is one such individual who may reflect with pride on the |
|
hard work and determination he has shown over the past three months |
|
in accomplishing that significant goal; and |
|
WHEREAS, By taking part in Motivational Work, Quinton Smith |
|
is helping to build a brighter future for himself, and his |
|
achievements serve as an inspiring example of commitment and |
|
perseverance; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Quinton Smith on his achievements |
|
in the Motivational Work program of Star of Hope and extend to him |
|
sincere best wishes for success in all of his future endeavors; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Smith as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
