R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Pflugerville mayor pro tem Victor Gonzales has |
|
|
earned recognition as a Certified Municipal Official; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The certification is the highest honor awarded by |
|
|
the Texas Municipal League Institute, which provides educational |
|
|
programs to enhance the policy-making and leadership skills of |
|
|
elected city officials; the group offers a number of continuing |
|
|
education courses, encouraging participants to expand their |
|
|
knowledge of their leadership roles and city government in general; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Members who complete 72 or more hours of training in |
|
|
one year, including courses on the Open Meetings Act and the Public |
|
|
Information Act, are eligible for the Certified Municipal Official |
|
|
designation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|
|
life for their fellow citizens, and mayor pro tem Gonzales, |
|
|
strengthened by his efforts to remain informed, is helping to make |
|
|
Pflugerville an even better place to live and work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Victor Gonzales on becoming a |
|
|
Certified Municipal Official and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success with his important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Gonzales as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
