R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six and |
|
|
a half decades, Ernest and Lillian Winkler of Temple celebrated |
|
|
their 65th wedding anniversary on February 24, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Winkler exchanged the vows of matrimony |
|
|
at the Grove in Temple on that memorable day in 1946, and over the |
|
|
course of their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted |
|
|
life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family |
|
|
that includes three children, Larry Winkler, Dennis Winkler, and |
|
|
Kathy Wright, and three grandchildren, with whom they treasure |
|
|
sharing the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The 65 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Winkler |
|
|
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|
|
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|
|
know them; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ernest and Lillian Winkler on their |
|
|
65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Winkler as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
