R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Willie and Eula Bennett of Rockdale celebrated their |
|
|
65th wedding anniversary on February 18, 2011, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Willie P. Bennett and the former Eula Bea Thompson |
|
|
exchanged the vows of matrimony in Corpus Christi in 1946, and over |
|
|
the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving |
|
|
life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bennett count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes 4 children and their spouses, Rusty and |
|
|
Debbie Bennett, Pat and Stanly Vongoton, K. K. and Joe Hendrix, and |
|
|
Becky and Larry Shuffield, as well as 11 grandchildren, 21 |
|
|
great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson, with whom they |
|
|
share the many special occasions of life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For six and a half decades, Willie and Eula Bennett |
|
|
have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, |
|
|
and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Willie and Eula Bennett on their |
|
|
65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bennett as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
