R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  death of Harold Dean Martin of Junction on August 18, 2010, at the
  age of 73; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Mineral Wells on June 22, 1937, to Harold and
  Adelle Martin, Harold Martin enjoyed a rewarding marriage with his
  wife, Dell, and he was devoted to his three children, Melissa,
  Jennifer, and Dean, and his four grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Martin owned and operated Cherokee Bridge and
  Road, and he brought a great deal of skill and enthusiasm to his
  work, which involved the construction of bridges and highways; and
         WHEREAS, A valued member of First Baptist Church in Junction,
  Mr. Martin also attended Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville, and
  he served his fellow congregants as a deacon and Sunday school
  teacher; in his free time, he took pleasure in hunting, fishing,
  golf, and horse racing; and
         WHEREAS, Although Harold Martin is deeply missed, cherished
  memories of time spent in his company will long endure in the hearts
  of his family and friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Harold Dean Martin and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Dell Martin; to his daughters, Melissa Hoggett and her husband,
  Jerry, and Jennifer Riley and her husband, Kelly; to his son, Dean
  Martin, Jr., and his wife, Belinda; to his grandchildren, Trady
  Martin, Samantha Larsen and her husband, Mike, Hannah Martin, and
  Cecelia Rose Riley; to his mother, Adelle Martin; to his sisters,
  Elizabeth Ann Pearson and her husband, Rich, and Linda McDonell and
  her husband, Mac; to his brother, Jerry Martin, and his wife,
  Christy; to his nieces and nephews, Charlie and Clay Alexander and
  Lindee Gartman; to Jan Gambrell; and to his other friends and
  relatives; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Harold
  Martin.
