R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The wedding anniversary of two outstanding Texans
  who have shared 50 happy and rewarding years of marriage is truly a
  notable occasion, and Theodore and Dorothy Kaspar of Brazoria
  attained this memorable milestone in their lives on November 12,
  2010; and
         WHEREAS, After meeting at the Plainview Dance Hall in El
  Campo, Mr. and Mrs. Kaspar were joined in matrimony in 1960 at a
  ceremony held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton; through
  the years, they have welcomed into their family four children and
  their spouses, Kenneth Kaspar, Carol Kaspar Taylor and her husband,
  Mark, Terry Kaspar and his wife, Shelley, and Curtis Kaspar and his
  wife, Deborah, and they have been blessed with seven grandchildren,
  Craig, Kyle, Lauren, Zachary, Kolton, Karch, and Kaley; and
         WHEREAS, Respected members of the Brazoria community, Mr.
  Kaspar holds a degree in chemistry and worked at the Dow Chemical
  Company in Freeport for nearly four decades before retiring as a
  production supervisor, while Mrs. Kaspar is a homemaker; together
  they enjoy fellowship at St. Joseph on the Brazos Catholic Church,
  where Mr. Kaspar is a member of the Knights of Columbus; and
         WHEREAS, Celebrating their shared Czech roots, Mr. and Mrs.
  Kaspar are active participants in the Fort Bend County chapter of
  the Czech Heritage Society of Texas and supporters of the Texas
  Czech Heritage and Cultural Center in La Grange; they have made
  several trips together to the Czech Republic, and Mr. Kaspar has
  written extensively about the couple's shared ancestry; more than a
  half-century after they first met on a dance floor, the Kaspars
  still take pleasure in performing polkas and waltzes at Czech
  events; and
         WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Kaspar
  have had is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and
  commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who
  know them; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Theodore and Dorothy Kaspar on
  their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
  wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Kaspar as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
